Grenfell Inquiry - Preparing The Scottish Response

Session on Wednesday 8 January

Looks like a constructive and helpful  session with someone significantly involved in the enquiry  where they will give, hopefully, some useful insights on the enquiry,

The proposed programme looks to  touch on the Recommendations and cover these topics
  • findings against building professionals, manufacturers, government, and regulatory bodies
  • Lessons from the bespoke testing of cladding materials carried out by Inquiry experts
  • Best practice around the world
  • The fire testing regime
  • Inquiry Recommendations

The invitation to the attendees encourages questions and discussion of key points.

I (Chris) am privileged to attend and participate. The intention is not only to learn what happened but to help ensure greater safety, the avoidance of such future catastrophic events, and better preparedness for such events.

To encourage the free sharing of information  the meeting will take place under the "Chatham House rules" where  the participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed. '
